Uniquely qualified, experienced and at the cutting edge of basic science education, Dr Dodson proclaims "Science is that body of information we observe at the intersection of the knowledge of the means of life (how we acquire energy) and knowledge of the ends of life (when we no longer convert energy) and I strive to put this information into action to strengthen the communion with the creator of the universe". Extensively read in history particularly Guyanese, West Indian and World history, Dr Dodson fancies himself an expert in comparative religion and an advocate for environmental and social justice in our community.
An ardent sports enthusiast, Dr Dodson played basketball, volleyball, table-tennis, badminton and cricket at both high school and college.
